Affordable Therapy: What You Need to Know

How much does affordable therapy cost?

Our goal with our reduced rate therapy options is to make therapy fit your budget. Rates will vary depending on provider, speciality area, and how many current reduced rate clients a provider is seeing. To find out more about how much affordable therapy will cost for you, please schedule a free phone consultation using this link and you can talk to one of our practice owners about what works best for you!

If we are paying less does that mean the quality care is lower?

No matter the price you are paying, you will be receiving care from highly qualified and trained therapists. Our doctoral trainees have already completed a master’s degree (most therapists only have a master’s degree) and are continuing schooling to deepen their knowledge. Our Psychologist Candidates have completed both a masters and a doctoral degree, as well as their schooling. They are participating in a post-doctoral fellowship similar to a medical fellowship. All of our therapists also participate in weekly supervision, consultation, and didactics, so they are constantly learning the most up to date therapy interventions.

If our financial situation changes does that mean the cost will change?

Each therapist at the practice has an allotted amount of reduced rate slots insuring that we can provide affordable therapy and also pay our therapist well. If your financial situation ever worsens you can have continued conversations with your therapists about if the current reduced rate is meeting your needs. If your financial situation improves, you can move to your providers full rate fee and open up a spot for another client to have a reduced rate.

Are there certain services or specialties that are not offered at the lower rate?

Currently there are providers with reduced rate slots open for all speciality areas so you will not be limited on which service or specialty you have access to.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card to pay for sessions?

Absolutely, you can add an HSA or FSA card to your account and pay for your sessions utilizing those healthcare options.

What if my insurance doesn’t cover therapy?

Our reduced rate options are great for folks whose insurance doesn’t cover therapy or whose deductible is too high to reach.

What if I can’t afford weekly sessions right now?

While it can be very beneficial to have weekly therapy and speed up the process of change, biweekly therapy is available if you can’t afford weekly sessions right now. We do encourage that you attend at least biweekly therapy in the beginning because any less frequent than that can lead to therapy progress stalling and it just feeling like you are just venting to your therapist and not moving towards your goals.

What if I really want therapy but I’m worried about the cost?

This is a great reason to schedule a free phone consultation and discuss your current options for reduced rate therapy. Hopefully this conversation can ease your concerns and provide an opportunity for you to attended therapy regularly!
