Dr. Rachel Hughitt

What drew me to this work, and what keeps me here, is the opportunity to walk alongside people as they navigate what it means to be human: the breaking, the rebuilding, the not-knowing, and the quiet work of finding your way.

Healing isn’t a straight line; it’s often messy, unpredictable, and full of both setbacks and breakthroughs. What I find most rewarding is helping people gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, while supporting them in finding the strength and empowerment they need to move forward. Whether you’re navigating a major life change, dealing with grief or relational challenges, exploring questions of identity, or simply seeking support and clarity, my focus is on meeting you where you are and accompanying you through the ups and downs of that journey.

My experience spans community mental health, college counseling, private practice, and psychological assessments, giving me a broad perspective on the many ways people struggle and heal. I bring a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to every relationship, aiming to create a space where healing feels possible, and growth feels within reach. I believe therapy works best when it’s tailored to fit you, not the other way around. What matters most is creating a space that feels safe, honest, and supportive, where you can bring your whole self and be met with warmth and realness. Therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who shows up with honesty and compassion, ready to support you through whatever you’re facing. Because your culture, values, and life experiences shape who you are, I’m committed to honoring those parts of you so our work feels relevant and meaningful.

Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more connected – to yourself and to the people who matter most – and to support you in living a life that feels authentic and aligned with your values. If you’re looking for a compassionate, honest, and collaborative partner on your journey, I’d be honored to work together with you.
