At Authentic Connections Therapy and Wellness, we see a critical part of our role in the community as helping to train and invest in the next generation of therapists. We offer a comprehensive training opportunity for doctoral trainees in a boutique private practice setting dedicated to social justice values and relational practice.

Licensed Therapist

ACTW is currently hiring for a full-time Licensed Therapist or Licensed Psychologist who desires a connected community and a group practice that values continuing to learn and grow. This opportunity includes:

  • Weekly didactic training with licensed therapists and trainees

  • Potential to provide supervision

  • Ability to see individuals, couples, and families

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Group consultation opportunities

  • Ability to see clients in person and via telehealth

  • Specialized training in: Couples therapy (Gottman certification available), Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, Sex and sexuality, Pregnancy and postpartum concerns, EMDR, Family of origin issues, Premarital therapy (Prepare/Enrich certification available), Kink/BDSM, and Therapy with varying relationship structures, gender expressions, and sexual orientations

Candidate ideals:

  • Interested in working with couples and/or trauma

  • Masters or Doctorate Degree, preferably Licensed

  • At least 3 years post graduation experience

  • Self-motivated

  • Dedicated to social justice issues, cultural humility, and anti-racism

Post Doctoral Residency

Authentic Connections Therapy and Wellness offers a comprehensive Post-Doctoral Residency in private practice for therapists with a PsyD or PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. This residency experience includes:

  • Weekly didactic training with licensed therapists and trainees

  • 1 hour of supervision provided weekly

  • Group consultation opportunities

  • Opportunity to provide supervision to practicum students

  • Ability to see individuals, couples, and groups

  • Access to private pay referral networks

  • Flexible scheduling

  • Overhead expenses covered

  • Furnished office space and amenities

  • Ability to see clients in person and via telehealth

APA-Accredited Doctoral Internship

Authentic Connections Therapy and Wellness is a part of the University of Denver's Graduate School of Professional Psychology's APA-accredited doctoral internship consortium.. This internship training includes:

  • Weekly didactic training with licensed therapists and trainees

  • 2 hour of individual supervision provided weekly and 1 hour of group supervision every other week

  • Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotion Focus Couple Therapy, and Prepare and Enriched Premarital assessment.

  • Weekly group supervision.

  • Ability to see individuals and couples

  • Furnished office space and amenities

  • Ability to see clients in person and via telehealth

  • Specialized training in: Couples therapy, sex and sexuality, perinatal and postpartum concerns, Family of origin issues, relational trauma, premarital therapy, and therapy with varying relationship structures, gender expressions, and sexual orientations

Doctoral Practicum Training

Authentic Connections Therapy and Wellness offers a comprehensive training placement for advanced practicum students within graduate psychology programs. This practicum training includes:

  • Weekly didactic training with licensed therapists and trainees

  • 1 hour of individual supervision provided weekly and 1 hour of group supervision every other week

  • Training in EMDR Therapy and Gottman Method Couples Therapy

  • Group consultation opportunities

  • Ability to see individuals, couples, and groups

  • Furnished office space and amenities

  • Ability to see clients in person and via telehealth

  • Specialized training in: Couples therapy, Sex and sexuality, Perinatal and postpartum concerns, Family of origin issues, Premarital therapy, Kink/BDSM, and Therapy with varying relationship structures, gender expressions, and sexual orientations

Candidate requirements:

  • Current 2nd year or above in doctoral psychology program

  • Available to see clients in person

  • Interested in working with couples
