Caroline Lee, M.A.
From an early age, I’ve been curious about what makes us who we are: how our relationships, identities, and experiences shape the way we move through the world. Over time, I’ve come to see therapy as a powerful space for understanding those patterns and creating new ones that feel more authentic and aligned. My own meaningful experiences in therapy have shown me how transformative it can be to feel seen, understood, and accepted without judgment, and that belief guides my work with clients every day.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver in 2025 and have worked with clients in both community mental health and hospital settings. My experience includes supporting individuals and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment and relational concerns, identity exploration, and religious deconstruction. I’m especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, as well as those exploring gender, sexuality, and spirituality.
In therapy, my approach is collaborative and client-centered: you decide where we’re headed, and I help you navigate when things feel confusing or unfamiliar. I believe clients already hold deep wisdom about themselves; my role is to help you access that inner knowing and bring compassion to the parts of you that have had to adapt or protect. My style is grounded, curious, and relational, and I like to bring humor and authenticity into the room.
I draw primarily from psychodynamic and intersubjective theories, as I believe long-term change comes from understanding the patterns rooted in our early experiences and relationships. I also integrate techniques from EMDR and ACT when they’re helpful. My work is neuroaffirming and trauma-informed, and I approach therapy with an understanding that systemic factors like oppression and marginalization profoundly shape our mental health and relationships. My hope is that therapy feels like a place where you can exhale, explore freely, and begin to rewrite the stories that have kept you stuck. Together, we’ll work to help you feel more connected to yourself and others, more at ease in your own skin, and more aligned with your values and sense of purpose.
